Update on Passports
If you don't have a Passport you can still drive to and from Canada this year. Adults will need a Drivers License AND a Certified Birth Certificate. Ladies will need a Marriage Certificate to verify the name change from the birth certificate to the drivers license. (Doesn't a passport sound a whole lot easier?) Children will need a Certified Birth Certificate and a note from the other parent if not traveling together.

A Passport Book or Passport Card will be needed as of June 2009 to fly or drive to and from Canada.
As of February 1st, 2008 you can now apply for a Passport Card. This card is credit card size, is good only for driving to and from Canada and cost $45 for 16 year old and older and $35 for 15 year old and younger.

Attention Muskie Fishermen !!!

The Guest who catches, photographs and releases the BIGGEST Muskie on Dinorwic Lake after August 11th till the end of season will receive a Free Stay for the next year.

Dinorwic Lake is my favorite place to fish.

Border Crossing Documents
Currently the only documents needed for crossing the US/Canadian border is a photo ID (drivers license) for adults and a birth certificate for children. If the child is not your own, you must have a note from their legal guardian giving them permission to travel with you and to make medical decisions if necessary. You may or may not be asked to show these documents but if you are, have them ready. For general boarder crossing information see the article below.
